ACLU of PA 
The American Civil Liberties Union is the nation's foremost guardian of liberty. They are a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to defending and protecting our individual rights and personal freedoms. Through advocacy, education and litigation, they work to preserve and promote civil liberties including the freedom of speech, the right to privacy, reproductive freedom, and equal treatment under the law, and defend the rights of women and minorities, workers, students, immigrants, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, and others who have seen bias and bigotry threaten the rights afforded to all of us in this country by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Action PA 
PA-based research, organizing and networking center for the grassroots environmental justice movement. Since 1995 they have worked with communities in Pennsylvania and elsewhere on waste, energy and toxics issues, aiding communities in resisting proposed incinerators, landfills, power plants, medical waste facilities, sewage sludge dumping, water fluoridation, and a nuclear waste dump.

CELDF: Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund 
CELDF was formed to provide free and affordable legal services to community based groups and local governments working to protect their quality of life and the natural environment through building sustainable communities. Increasingly, that means teaming up with people and their municipal representatives to mount campaigns that challenge the legal clout of corporations to overrule decisions made by citizens for their communities. CELDF hosts the Daniel Pennock Democracy School which teaches an organizing strategy based on knowledge of the corporate usurpation of political decision-making in the United States.

A national directory of businesses claiming to be green and desiring to serve green clientele. A very useful site, searchable by geography and by business type, but without hard and fast rules about who gets included. Caveat emptor.

Democracy Rising PA 
Democracy Rising PA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working for integrity, value, transparency, and citizen confidence in government. Founded in 2004 by Tim Potts and Kathleen Daugherty, Democracy Rising PA and its coalition partners have successfully engaged Pennsylvanians in a focused campaign to transform their state government into an institution worthy of citizen trust. Their focus is citizen education, research, and advocacy for laws and Constitutional provisions that will make Pennsylvania the "Best-in-America" model for representative democracy.

Keystone Research Center 
The Keystone Research Center was created in 1996 to broaden public discussion on strategies to achieve a more prosperous and equitable Pennsylvania economy. KRC conducts original research, produces reports, and promotes public dialog that addresses important economic and civic problems, and proposes new policies to help resolve those problems, operating through the collaborative efforts of Pennsylvania citizens drawn from academia, labor, religious and business organizations.
